# WA 24.5.1 Release Notes

> We are pleased to announce the release of the TruU Windows Authenticator patch version 24.5.1. Please review this document in its entirety for details about the release, including known issues.

## Highlights

This is a patch release with bug fixes only.

## Bug Fixes

* We have updated the web automation for FIDO2 to be compatible with recent Microsoft changes to the portal for managing security keys.
* We have fixed an infrequent issue where facial biometrics would enter a bad state. Scanning would fail when a face was recognized as present, but it could not be associated to an enrolled user.
* We have fixed an issue where errors in Azure AD Cloud App Plugin would cause authentication to SSO apps to fail.
* We have removed a window (Preparing Your Desktop) from the login process that obscured messages from the operating system when using FIDO2 login.

## Recommendations

* For the best experience using the TruU Windows Authenticator, we recommend removing the Windows Hello enrollment and disabling Windows Hello policy enforcement on your device.
* To ensure the correct operation of fingerprint and external peripheral biometric devices with the TruU Windows Authenticator, we recommend disabling Windows Enhanced Sign-in Security (ESS) on your device (do not re-enable while using TruU).
