# Threat Brief

The Threat Brief is an AI-synthesized narrative on the [Predict Card](/predict-card). It explains why the case matters in plain language and points you to the underlying events.

## Overview

The brief is generated from signals and timeline activity for the selected person. It is not a raw log; it is a **summary you can scan** before opening every event. Use it with category tags on the card to orient quickly.

## Reading the Brief

The opening usually frames **who** and **what** is unusual; later sentences often tie behavior to **categories** (for example financial or HR-related patterns) that match the tags on the card. If something is unclear, expand matching items on the [Timeline](/timeline).

## Citations

Phrases in the brief may appear **underlined or highlighted**. Those spans are [Citations](/citations): they map to specific timeline events or drift patterns. Click or follow them to validate the narrative against source activity and metadata.
