  • Improved Login Performance
  • Improved Enrollment Flow

Enhancements

Improved Login Performance

  • The time it takes to load the login UI has been decreased. In addition, fingerprint and camera biometrics are ready sooner, allowing for a quicker login experience.

Improved Enrollment Flow

  • Users enrolling an account on the login screen will experience a more streamlined flow. The screen informing the user they are almost done has been removed, and the user is taken directly to login. In addition, the dialog to add biometrics will be opened automatically upon login to guide the user.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the option to use facial biometrics was not available.
  • Fixed an issue where the Windows Hello Credential Provider was incorrectly shown as a login option.
  • Will now display an error message if the Microsoft Frame Server crashes. The message informs the user camera biometrics are unavailable, and they should use their PIN for login.
  • Fixed an issue where text would not display in the proper language when the localization for that language had multiple regions.
  • Fixed an issue where users would see an error message about inserting their smart card on the login screen.
  • Fixed an issue where biometric icons were not present on the login screen after waking the system from sleep.

Recommendations

  • For the best experience using TruU Windows Authenticator, we recommend removing the Windows Hello enrollment and disabling Windows Hello policy enforcement on your device.
  • To ensure the correct operation of fingerprint and external peripheral biometric devices with the TruU Windows Authenticator, we recommend disabling Windows Enhanced Sign-in Security (ESS) on your device (do not re-enable while using TruU).
