Enhancements

Support for Encrypted OAuth Client Credentials in Config Files

  • Within our Windows Authenticator Config Files, the OAuth client and secret are now able to be encrypted, or decrypted, so that stored credentials are not stored/transmitted in the clear. Additionally, the config file that is bundled with our installer is now removed upon completion of installation or the upgrade progress. The decryption of the OAuth client and secret are now performed as a part of the asset enrollment process as well. Previous versions of the config file do still work with our new 24.6 version; however, if you would like to encrypt your OAuth client and secret, you must install the newest build.

Removed TruU Window when Shutting Down/Restarting Lock Screen

  • Previously, when shutting down or restarting your workstation from the Lock Screen, the TruU window would otherwise block the OS “Shutting down” or “restarting” message. Now, upon restarting your workstation, the TruU prompt will no longer show and you are able to follow the messaging from the OS through the restart process.

Bug Fixes

  • We have fixed an issue where users would get stuck on the login screen while attempting to submit a report.
  • We have fixed an issue where upgrading to the latest version of .Net resulted in the user being stuck on the login screen. Users will no longer need to restart their systems after updating as a result of the fix.
  • We have fixed an issue where, in some scenarios, logging in after entering one’s PIN/biometrics was slowed. NOTE: operating on a slow network could still result in latency issues.
  • We have fixed an issue where users, attempting to login using a FIDO2 key on computers with an installed SIM card, would not be able to login. Now, individuals will experience a faster login experienced when using a FIDO2 key, as the authenticator will not be attempting to read the SIM card as opposed to the FIDO2 key.
  • We have fixed an issue where the TruU in place upgrade leaves two installers in the registry. Now, the upgrade from the .exe bundle to the MSI installer will be successful.
  • We have fixed an issue where the login UI flickered on user’s workstations. The login prompt now appears correctly.
