Enhancements

​

Improved fingerprint Registration

• The interface for adding your fingerprint has been redesigned, and the registration process has been made more robust. The new registration process improves the reliability of fingerprint scanning during authentication.

Improvement to PIN entry focus

• It was possible to click outside of the sign-in window and lose focus on the PIN entry box. It was not obvious to the user when this occurred, and it was not obvious what action the user needed to take to be able to enter their PIN. There is a now an animation that alerts the user to click on the PIN entry box to restore focus and allow the user to enter their PIN.

Minor sign-in design changes

• Some text has been updated to make it more clear the user can enter their PIN at any time during the sign-in process.
• The size of the text for options in the user drop down has been reduced.

Updated link text for privacy policies

• The text for privacy policy links has been updated to make it more clear when a user will see a TruU policy versus their own company’s policy.

Enrollment registry key for scripts

• To enable writing scripts with logic that depends on whether users are enrolled, there is a new registry key that indicates if enrollments are present on the system. The path to the key is as follows:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\Credential Providers\{5fd3d285-0dd9-4362-8855-e0abaacd4af6}\UsersAreEnrolled

Bug Fixes

• An issue was fixed where a failed enrollment would cause subsequent enrollments to fail as well. If there is an enrollment failure, it should not impact any subsequent attempts by the user to enroll.
• When switching back and forth between PIN and fingerprint sign-in options, the fingerprint screen would display an incorrect message to the user. The message will now properly inform the user as to their options for signing in.
