When you first log into your new TruU tenant, the Configuration Wizard guides you through all the steps needed to get your environment ready.

Prerequisites

Before TruU can create your tenant, provide the following:
  • Domain name for the tenant
  • Display name for the tenant
  • One email address with first and last name to create a bootstrap admin account
TruU will create your tenant and share the logon URL. On first login you will be prompted to reset your password via the provided email address.

Wizard Steps

Once logged in, the Configuration Wizard opens automatically. Complete each step in order:

Directory Configuration

Configure your user source directory so TruU knows where to find your users. If you need to modify this after setup, go to Settings > Directory.

Enable SSO for TruU Portals

By default TruU enables SSO for the portal to use TruU for passwordless logon. Customer can choose to use their IdP to enable Single Sign-On so users and admins can authenticate seamlessly across your environment. To modify after setup, go to Settings > Security.

Add Administrators

Add additional administrators to your tenant. TruU supports full Role Based Access Control (RBAC) and Delegated Administration. You can complete this step now or return to it later.Click Setup to add admins, or Skip to continue.

Configure Integrations

TruU by default enables SSO to the admin and user portal using TruU. Depending on the requirements, customers may need to configure some adapters for application SSO. In this area you can set up seamless SSO for apps with TruU for Okta, Ping, Entra ID and others, or set up support for PKIs, RADIUS, and more. To modify after setup or read more on detailed configuration, go to Integrations > Adapters.

Setup Policies

Configure authentication and access policies for your environment. To modify after setup, go to Policies.

Finish

TruU setup is complete, you can download the Windows or macOS agent or use your phone to test on boarding and first logon.
