  1. Click the Plus (+) button to setup an alert. Provide a “Name” for the alert (e.g. IdP Alerts). You can create multiple alerts, naming the alerts respectively will help with clear identification.
  2. Select the alert “Types”
    1. Infrastructure: If you have deployed your own (“Self-Managed”) Identity Servers, you can use this to get automated alerts based on the health of your identity servers. If you are using “TruU Cloud Hosted” Identity Servers, TruU already has alerting for our Operations Team to ensure the service is working reliably for you. However, we recommend setting up alerts for “Directory Health” as there may be a problem with the availability of your directory and you may need to take action to remediate it.
      1. You can choose to select all components or select specific components to create alerts for different destinations.
    2. Adapters: Customers can also set up alerts to monitor the health of the adapters they are using.

  3. Click the “Destinations” tab in order to define who to route the alerts to.
    1. Email: You can add as many email addresses as you’d like to an alerts. We recommend using a mailing alias as opposed to an individual address to make sure these alerts get to the right people as roles may change.
    2. Webhooks: Alerts can also be routed to any number of Microsoft Teams or Slack channels using webhooks.
