TruU provides flexible PIN complexity settings to enhance security for user identification. In the “PIN Profiles” section, administrators can create custom profiles to enforce specific rules for PIN creation, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards. Each PIN profile includes options for:
  • Platform Specification: The profile can be set to apply universally or to specific platforms. Minimum and Maximum Length: Admins can specify the minimum and maximum PIN lengths, with flexibility between 6 and 8 characters.
  • All Same Digits: This setting allows or disallows users from setting a PIN with all identical digits, preventing easy-to-guess combinations.
  • Numeric Sequence: This option restricts users from setting simple numeric sequences (e.g., “123456”), further strengthening PIN security.
  • PIN Rotation Policy: Organizations can set a rotation policy, specifying how frequently users need to update their PINs, or they can choose “Never” if rotation is not required.
These configurations help organizations tailor PIN security to their unique needs, balancing user convenience with enhanced security.
